Years ago, I had this idea to create a website where folks could enjoy sabong (cockfighting) online. I thought it could be a cool way to bring fans together and have some fun. Started with our website as a streaming platform but I never followed through with it.
Now, online sabong has exploded into a massive industry worth billions. With my research and feasibility study I should have pursued my idea back then, I could have sought investment to make it happen. Today, strict government regulations and big companies trying to dominate the market make it hard to continue.
But even then I could have created a big business from that idea.
This serves as a powerful lesson: an idea without action remains just that an idea. No matter how brilliant or promising it may seem, without taking steps to turn it into reality, it cannot bring you anywhere.
In hindsight, my missed opportunity with the online sabong platform highlights the importance of seizing the moment and pursuing our ideas with determination and persistence. It is not enough to dream; we must also act, even if it means facing challenges or uncertainties along the way.
So, let this be a reminder to us all: when inspiration strikes, don’t hesitate. Take action, and who knows where it might lead you.
